THE EDGEMOOR GROUP is a single Benefice consisting of eleven rural churches stretching from Knowstone, Rose Ash and the Ansteys to the east, across the southern edge of Exmoor to Charles and High Bray to the west. Each of our Churches has its own character and traditions but all seek to express a warm, prayerful and loving faith in the communities we serve. Here you will find information about our churches, our services and activities and how to make arrangements for baptisms, weddings and funerals.
We would love to welcome you to any of our churches. Wherever you find yourself in life, just come as you are and see what difference God can make. All are welcome, all are welcome.

Thy Kingdom Come
Thy Kingdom Come, eleven days of prayer called by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York and widely observed around the world, starts on 26th May (Ascension Day) and ends on Pentecost Sunday 5th June. During the 11 days, it is hoped that everyone who takes part will deepen their own relationship with Jesus Christ, pray for 5 friends or family to come to faith in Jesus and pray for the empowerment of the Spirit that we would be effective in our witness. We would encourage everyone to pray in their own time and there are two types of booklets in each of our churches to assist you, The Prayer Journal, in which each day provides a short Bible verse, reflection, response and prayer and Novena – a series of nine reflections on the First Letter of Peter with prayers. Please help yourself to copies, both are entirely free.

Lord, may justice flow like a river
Reaching barren lands and sun scorched deserts
Where people feel forgotten and hopeless
Let your water of life comfort them
Where children lie abandoned or abused
Let your water of life protect them
Where communities suffer at the hands of prejudice
Let your water of life shield them
